Ugh, it’s the pesky time of year when ticks seem to be everywhere.
Ticks aren’t just a nuisance. They can carry diseases that are serious—even life-threatening.
One bite can cause fever, fatigue, Lyme disease, or in some cases, a bizarre reaction where you are suddenly allergic to red meat.
So we’re doing a little “tick talk” today, with one of the country’s top experts on ticks and the diseases they spread. Dr. Lyle Petersen is Director of the Division of Vector-Borne Diseases at the CDC.
He’ll share how these tiny critters cause huge problems, and how you can protect yourself, your kids, and your pets.
Take a listen and let us know what you think! If you want to watch the entire episode, you can check it out on YouTube.
I have three takeaways from my conversation with Dr. Petersen, check them out below!
And remember: Docology subscribers can join our tapings and ask their own questions of me and my expert guests.
